Closed 14 Feb 2020

Opened 18 Nov 2019

Overview

The Call for Sites is a public consultation for the Central Lancashire Local Plan. Organisations or the public are asked to submit sites they wish to see allocated for all types of development or for protection, from adoption in 2022 until 2036.

  • Part 1 ran for 12 weeks from Friday 17th August until Friday 9th November 2018
  • Part 2 ran for 10 weeks from Monday 28th January until Monday 8th April 2019

We're now running Part 3 of the Call for Sites alongside the Issues and Options Consultation. This will run for 12 weeks from Monday 18th November 2019 until Friday 14th February 2020.

Why your views matter

We're consulting to find the best areas to allocate specific types of development until 2036. This allows us to plan development when and where it is most needed, and helps us write emerging Local Plan policy that will govern the scale, extent, make-up, sustainability, regulatory and planning compliance of those sites.

A third round of Call for Sites will enable us to give residents and stakeholders the opporuntiy to submit more smaller housing sites of up to five dwellings as well emloyment sites, both of which were few in number during the first two rounds of Call for Sites consultation and both  of which are integral to ensuring a robust and future proof Local Plan for Central Lancashire, one that provides sufficient places for residents to work and live.

This includes brownfield sites, employment sites and smaller, potential housing sites of up to five dwellings.
